AT&T Center Collection of Art: Plaza Level, Ingram

Charles Ingram (San Antonio)
Untitled, 2002

Oil on canvas
8 x 90 ft.

In this impressive mural at the east entrance of the AT&T Center, Charles Ingram hopes to convey how, “Texas, Bexar County and San Antonio have a very rich heritage that is not unlike a tapestry or quilt woven over time. Since 1519 and under the six flags that have flown over what is now known as Texas, many people and traditions have been introduced to this area. The purpose of this mural is to depict this rich heritage and the ways it has been celebrated throughout the history of San Antonio.”

As a long-time San Antonio resident, Ingram understands the dynamic characteristics that make up this city and he eloquently expresses these qualities in his art. Ingram was a 1978 graduate of Oliver Wendell Holmes High School and has attended San Antonio College, Our Lady of The Lake University, and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
