Susie Rosmarin’s Chocolate Gingham Check combines a bit of Op art with woven gingham fabric patterns. Rosmarin’s method is to use masking tape and then subtract layers as she adds each coat of color. The end result is a lush, visual grid. “Susie Rosmarin’s grids push the vibrational, hypnotic potential of the grid to its limit without losing its history as a meditational space.”*

Susie Rosmarin received her BA from the University of St. Thomas in Houston and her MFA at the Pratt Institute in New York.
