GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position will be responsible for all public relations efforts for San Antonio’s new AHL team … duties will include handling all team, community and business public relations needs on a day-to-day basis … responsible for producing team game notes, media guide and program … responsible for all game-day duties including media credentials, stats crew, game night staff and hosting local and visiting media … will attend all home games and practices to handle media requests … will actively promote the team in San Antonio and throughout South Texas with an aggressive and creative public and community relations plan … in the off-season will be active in creating both media and community support in San Antonio … service the needs of the team’s players and coaches to insure the franchise is viewed as a first class organization … serve as point person with the AHL League Office, the Florida Panthers front office, the San Antonio Spurs front office and the SBC Center staff … ideal candidate will have three to five years experience in the sports media services field … hockey experience a plus … will report to the team General Manager with support from the San Antonio Spurs media services department.
