GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position oversees all marketing and sales functions and provides leadership, supervision and coordination for all franchises and the AT&T Center, while ensuring alignment with our Values Based culture. Monitor and analyze marketing and sales activity against goals. Focus on strategic branding and image campaigns, database marketing, relationship marketing (CRM), web technology strategies, and mobile marketing and integration of all primary responsibilities with sales strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct and oversee the company's marketing and sales function to identify and develop new business strategies.
Responsible for the strategic vision and integration of all marketing and media assets for each franchise.
Research strategies and plans which identify marketing opportunities
Direct creative marketing, and new project development.
Direct and oversee the growth and leveraging of Spurs Sports & Entertainment CRM solutions.
Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results.
Develop and manage marketing and sales budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets.
Coordinate marketing and promotional efforts with use of paid and public media, and the internet in conjunction with the Communications department.
Participate in the development of new project proposals.
Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
Supervise the planning and development of company marketing and communications materials.
Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company.
Supervise the preparation, design, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, marketing material and promotion programs.
Promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors.
Responsible for managing third party relationships such as ad agencies, design firms, etc.
Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
Serve on strategic planning and policy-making committees.
Responsible for the continued personal and professional development of staff in alignment with our company vision, mission and values.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and skills requirement:
Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations. Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public relations efforts as well as developing and training sales staffs.
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials and results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
Requires expertise normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Masters Degree in Marketing and ten years of experience in a senior-level marketing and/or sales position.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in associated field
At least 15 years marketing and sales experience in sports or entertainment marketing experience preferred
At least 3 years web technologies experience
At least 5 years new media strategies experience
Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational/project management skills
Dynamic personality that can present and integrate across departments
Strong analytical skills
Proven leadership abilities and initiative
Experience with CRM software
