City of San Antonio and Community Labs Announce AT&T Center
as New Site for Free Asymptomatic Testing
Starting on Wednesday, Nov. 11, Community Labs and the City of San Antonio will offer local residents a third site for COVID-19 testing of asymptomatic individuals.
The AT&T Center will host testing weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Lot 2. Testing is free and open to anyone who does not exhibit symptoms of COVID-19. Appointments are not required, and walk-ins are welcome. No proof of insurance required.
Community Labs also hosts free testing for asymptomatic individuals at Cuellar (5626 San Fernando St.) and Ramirez (1011 Gillette Blvd.) Community Centers from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The test consists of a simple, self-administered swab of each lower nasal cavity and results are returned in less than 24 hours. This assurance testing strategy identifies asymptomatic “silent spreaders” of COVID-19, allowing them to safely quarantine, thereby stopping the virus from spreading and allowing the rest of the population to remain safe.
The City of San Antonio also offers free testing for people who do exhibit COVID-19 symptoms. A complete schedule of testing options can be found at https://covid19.sanantonio.gov/What-YOU-Can-Do/Testing.
