The Stock Show & Rodeo is also host to one of the world’s largest Junior Livestock shows.  You can take in everything from the Youth Rodeo to many contest.   Buyers and exhibitors travel from across the U.S., Mexico and Canada for the opportunity to show their animal or for a chance to bid on the exceptional stock at the Ranch Gelding and Select Horse Sales, Beefmaster Rose Classic, All Breeds Bull and Heifer Sales and Junior Livestock Auctions.

Volunteers and Mission

Behind the actions and activities on the grounds, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is a non-profit organization that is one of the largest educational providers in the state with over $160.1 million committed to educating Texas youth since inception.  In 2015 alone, $12.2 million was awarded in educational opportunities for Texas youth.  As reflected by its mission statement “a volunteer organization that emphasizes agriculture and education to develop the youth of Texas”, over 6,000 volunteers help make the event happen by working year round on more than 40 committees.
