On June 30, 2005, Spurs Spurs & Entertainment purchased the Florida Panthers portion of the San Antonio-based AHL franchise to assume sole ownership of the Rampage. At the same time, the Rampage entered into a multi-year affiliation agreement with the Phoenix Coyotes (NHL).
