Johnny Blackerby

Executive Chef

Johnny Blackerby brings a wealth of passion and culinary knowledge to the AT&T Center. He is excited to lead the culinary team here in providing fresh and innovative cuisine, while staying true to the rich flavors of the San Antonio culture.

Johnny joined Levy Restaurants in March of 2008, as the Executive Sous Chef at Texas Motor Speedway. At TMS, Johnny was responsible for the daily operations of all premium areas including clubs, suites and catering. Three seasons later, Chef Johnny had joined the team at the American Airlines Center operating in both the concessions and the premium side of the business. In his Tenure, he has supported many other Levy venues across the United States and abroad. He has contributed to the success of many high profiled events such as The ATP World Tour in London, Olympic Tastings at Wimbledon, PGA, MLB Playoffs, NBA Finals, and The US Open in New York City.

His travels have filled him with numerous best practices, and techniques that he is eager to share with his team members and colleagues here in San Antonio. As the Executive Chef for the AT&T Center, he is dedicated to bringing the absolute best fan experience to the guests and the AT&T Center Family.

Johnny graduated culinary school in 2003 from AIMS Culinary and pursued further training from Kendall College in Chicago, Illinois. He has been married for 12 years to Lucia, and is the father of three children; Benny, Abe and Lucy.

Roasted Garlic Parmesan Dip

2 cups mayonnaise

5 cups sour cream

1 cup roasted garlic, puree

1/4 cup shallots, minced

1/3 cup lemon juice, fresh squeezed

1 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated finely

1/4 cup basil, fresh

1 cup parsley, chopped

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon salt

3/4 teaspoon pepper

Chef’s Notes: This is quick and delicious dip that is perfect while watching the Spurs!

Begin by placing all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix on low for approximately 5 minutes or until thoroughly combined. Place in your favorite serving dish and enjoy with crostini!

This high-energy restaurant and bar is available to Suite, Superbox, Courtside Ticket Holders, and Sponsors during every Spurs home game. From exciting new gourmet dinner entrées to mouthwatering house-made desserts, freshly tossed salads and fresh meats cooked to perfection, it’s dining for the hardiest of appetites. Complement your meal with a selection from the fully-stocked bar, complete with an extensive list of premium cocktails, imported and domestic beers and Captain’s list wines by the bottle or glass. Our Famous Chef’s Table and hospitality create an unforgettable dining experience. The Terrace Club Restaurant opens two hours before tipoff. Reservations are highly suggested!

Saddles & Spurs
Located on either side of the Charter Level, Levy Restaurants offers a variety of Mini Restaurants that give a twist to the Arena experience. Levy signature items include: Farm to Fork featuring local sustainable and renewable items and the Rancho Grande with premium hand-carved selections as well as traditional game-time fare. At the heart of Saddles & Spurs Club are two Premium Sports Bars fully stocked with premium cocktails, imported and domestic beers, wines and a variety of frozen drinks. Have a craving for a pub experience, try our Craft Biergarten. This area features micro brewed beers paired with an especially selected Chef’s menu item. Reservations are not required as this is a casual up-scaled public concessions area.
